This will add a public IP Address to your Free Linux Server Virtual Machine. Public IP Addresses are globally unique on the Internet and can be reached from any host. Version 4 IP Addresses are in the format of XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX with an accompanying subnet mask. This Free Linux Server Add-on is required for the Server Root Access Add-on to work. This Free Linux Server Add-on requires re-provisioning of your Free Linux Server Virtual Machine to take effect. |

This will add the ability for your account to access your Free Linux Server Virtual Machine as root. Your account will be added to the sudoers group with full privileges. Use sudo with the default password of "Abstultus" for your account or use whatever password you changed your password to. Please note: Public IP v4 is REQUIRED for root access to work. If you haven't already done so you must also purchase the Public IP v4 Free Linux Server Add-on. Otherwise root access will not work even if you purchased it. This Free Linux Server Add-on require re-provisioning of your Free Linux Server Virtual Machine to take effect. |

Special Note
All Free Linux Add-ons require re-provisioning of your Free Linux Virtual Machine to take effect unless otherwise noted. If you already have a Free Linux Virtual Machine provisioned. After the purchase, in the Virtual Machine Management Dashboard click on the checkbox next to your Free Linux Virtual Machine to select it the click on "Unprovision VMs". Confirm the message and your VM will be un-provisioned. To re-provision your Free Linux Virtual Machine click on "Provision VMs", then select "Free_Linux" from the drop-down menu. In the new fields that appears select the quantity 1 and then select the Operating System for the Free Linux Virtual Machine. Once the VM is done provisioning you can go to the launcher to access it and it will have the new feature enabled. For more information please see our quickstart guide located in the support section.
